Yumini - Matcha White Chocolate Chunky Heaven

Chocolate lovers will love this! Matcha green tea powder with white chocolate is such a heavenly combination. The earthy matcha with the sweet white chocolate contrast – adding cranberries for a lovely fruity flavour punch, coconut and slithered almonds for crunch and great taste. You can try lots of combinations of nuts and dried fruit but this combo is sensational.

This is a super easy and delicious recipe that you will love, it only takes 20 minutes. A great home made gift idea too, so simple but looks and tastes so good! The colour contrasts and textures of the green matcha, white chocolate, with the cranberries, coconut and nuts is delightful.

I made this one quite a few times in the lead up to Christmas with it’s beautiful festive look. My kids and husband love it too!

Ok, so how to make it, here we go:

Matcha White Chocolate Chunky Heaven

Ingredients

  • 450 grams of white cooking chocolate, chopped

  • 3 tablespoons of Yumini - Matcha Green Tea Powder (sifted)

  • 1/2 cup of dried cranberries

  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened desiccated coconut

  • 1/2 cup of slithered almonds

Method

Boil water in a small pot, reduce to a simmer and place a large metal bowl over the pot of water and add the white chocolate. Stir until melted. Remove from the heat, sift in the matcha and stir in until it becomes one beautiful green colour.

Gently stir in half of the cranberries, half of the desiccated coconut and half of the slithered almonds. On a baking try lined with baking paper, pour the mixture out and spread evenly with a spatular. Next sprinkle the rest of the cranberries, desiccated coconut and slithered almonds, pushing some down to make sure they stick in.

Place the Matcha White Chocolate Chunky Heaven into the fridge for at least 20 minutes or over night if you have time. Remove from the fridge and slice into your desired size and shaped pieces. Serve at room temperature. If it is hot you may need to sore it in the fridge in an air tight container.

Yumini – Matcha White Chocolate Heaven Ingredients

Step 1. Prepare all ingredients, Yumini Matcha Green Tea Powder, white chocolate, cranberries, desiccated coconut and slithered almonds.

Step 2. 3 tablespoons of Yumini Matcha green tea powder sifted into melted white chocolate.

Step 3. Yumini Matcha green tea powder stirred into melted white chocolate until smooth.

Step 4. Place half of each remaining ingredients into the Matcha white chocolate mixture and lightly mix (cranberries, desiccated coconut and slithered almonds).

Step 5. Pour the mixture onto a tray lined with baking paper and spread out until quite thin,

Step 6. Sprinkle the rest of the ingredients on top, push some in to make sure they stay. (cranberries, desiccated coconut and slithered almonds).

Step 7. Place the Matcha White Chocolate Heaven into the fridge for at least 20 minutes before slicing into pieces (I left mine over night as I had time) .

Step 8. Remove from the fridge and cut up your Matcha White Chocolate Heaven into what ever size you prefer. Enjoy this delicious treat!
